Vera Barrett Obituary

Barrett, Vera E. (Fiore), 98, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 in the comfort of her home. She was the wife of the late John "Jack" Barrett, Jr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Teresa (DiOrio) Fiore. Mrs. Barrett was employed with the Warwick School Dept. as a kindergarten aide for 30 years and worked at Robertson and John Green schools. She is survived by her children, John "Jack" J. Barrett, III and wife, JoAnne, and Patricia A. Barrett and husband, Gary Grandchamp. She was predeceased by her sons, Richard T. Barrett and his wife, Leslie A. Barrett, and William K. Barrett. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Claudia Barrett. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Andrew, John, Vincent, Mario Fiore, Angela DeCristofaro, Rose Paul and Elizabeth Wilbur.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, October 15, at 10 am in St. Clement Church, Long Street. Burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148, will be appreciated.
