Thomas R. Zito, 80, a resident of North Kingstown for over 40 years, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Mary L. (Gorman) Zito for 54 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Angelo and Carmela (DeLuca) Zito.
Thomas worked as an Architect for Robinson, Greene and Beretta Corp. for 35 years before retiring. He was an avid golfer and loved spending time with his family.
Thomas was the loving father of Christine M. Dickinson and her husband, Bert of Harrison, NY, Michael J. Zito and his wife, Cynthia of South Kingstown, and Gregory T. Zito and his wife Andrea of Hamilton, NJ; devoted Papa of Lauren, Olivia, Leah, and Grace Zito, Bert Thomas and Emily Dickinson; brother of Joseph Zito of Pawtucket and the late John, Ralph, Felix, Frank, Edward, and Maria Zito. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be Monday, September 24, 2018 at 8:45 am from the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Francis de Sales Church, School St. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Sunday, 2-4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 2348 Post Rd., Suite 114, Warwick, RI 02886 will be appreciated.
