Marjorie G. Spencer, RN Obituary

Marjorie G. (Tripp) Spencer, RN, 89, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Spencer, Jr., MD. Born in Fall River, MA, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Rachel E. (Gardiner) Tripp. Mrs. Spencer graduated from R.I. Hospital School of Nursing and was a registered nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital before retiring to raise her family. She has been a Foster resident for the past 59 years and the organist and very active member of the North Foster Baptist Church for many years. She was the loving mother of David R. Spencer of Jamestown, Deborah S. Nordstrom of Jamestown, Linda J. Spencer of Foster, Jeffrey T. Spencer of Minneapolis and Jill E. Dolce of Jamestown. She was the sister of Robert Tripp of N. Dartmouth, MA; the grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of 1.
Visitation Saturday, August 16, 2014 in the North Foster Baptist Church, 81 E. Killingly Rd., Foster, RI 02825 from 10-11am, with a Memorial Service to follow at 11am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the N. Foster Baptist Church or the Foster Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 62, Foster, RI 02825 will be appreciated.
