Louis H. Northup Obituary

Louis H. Northup, 78, of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully on his birthday Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Paula F. (Leach) Northup.
A lifelong resident of North Kingstown, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Doris (Westgate) Northup.
Mr. Northup was a milkman for East Greenwich Dairy and Hillside Farm for many years before becoming the owner of the Oak Hill Tavern; where he retired after thirty-five years. He was also the owner of Tavern Stables. A gentleman farmer, his land was meticulously manicured. In his retirement, he refinished and sold antique furniture.
He leaves three children, Pamela Beam of CT, Gregory Northup of Wyoming, RI and Keith Northup of North Kingstown; a step-son, Paul Anthony Carlin of North Kingstown; a brother, Charles Northup of FL; a sister, Phyllis McCaffrey of East Greenwich; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Cassidy Northup. He was the brother of the late Eunice Alves.
His funeral service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10am in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 6-8pm.
