Ernest W. Matthews, Jr. Obituary

Ernest W. Matthews, Jr., 62, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at home. He was the husband of Charlene L. Matthews. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, a son of the late Ernest W. Matthews, Sr. and Shirley (Knight) Matthews. Mr. Matthews was a cook at the Valley Country Club. Besides his wife, he was the brother of Lewis Matthews, Sandra Austin, Lorraine Ready, Donna Matthews Gabriel and Eileen McNeilis. Ernest also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Nancy Palazzo and Delores Lawing.

A graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Liver Foundation, New England Division, 188 Needham Street, Newton MA 02461, will be appreciated.
