Dawn M. Hopkins Obituary

Ms. Dawn M. Hopkins, 62, was born on February 14, 1954. A life long resident of Providence, she was born to Olympia M. (Almeida) and the late William S. Hopkins. Dawn was employed as a CNA at the Steere House Nursing Home for over 15 years.

Dawn is remembered for her infectious smile, warm loving heart and her title as the "plaid queen". There was never a dull moment when she was around. She will always be remembered as Rosemary's partner in crime. She was selfless and caring making her a great daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children Ronald G. Hopkins and Megan A. Hopkins (fiancé Rodolfo); grandchildren Chaunsamae Summers, Devin Burney, Cherrahn Summers, Kahtero Summers and Xzavier Hopkins-Carpenter; great grand-children Jeremy and Jahmye Johnson. She is also survived by her two sisters, Rosemary A. Osei (husband John) and Jacqueline Hopkins (husband James).

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 12-2 pm with a service at 2 pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick.
