Amy B. Madden, 39, died Saturday, February 27, 2016. A resident of Warwick for most of her life, she was the beloved daughter of Eileen A. (Madden) Dowding and step daughter of William Dowding. She was also the devoted mother of Nicholas Edward Zabawar and Brady Thomas Zabawar. Amy had been formerly employed as a dispatcher with the Warwick Police Dept. and had previously worked as a dispatcher for the Waterbury Police Dept. She was very active with the Apponaug and PAL Little Leagues in Warwick and loved the Patriots and camping. She was the companion of Scott M. Hough; sister of Tina M. Martin and Jason M. Bouchard; step sister of Jennifer, Beth, and William Dowding, Jr.; niece of John "Jack" Madden, and the late Kathleen M. Gallagher and Daniel T. Madden.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11 AM in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 will be appreciated.
